Color Change Wraps in Los Angeles
A completely new look without a repaint. Choose from hundreds of colors in gloss, satin, matte, and specialty finishes, installed by hand at our Hawthorne studio.

What is a color change wrap?
A color change wrap is premium vinyl film applied over your vehicle’s factory paint to completely change its color and finish. Done right, it looks like paint up close, with clean seams and tucked edges.
Why wrap instead of paint
- Typically costs less than paint
- Fully removable, so you can change it again later
- Finishes paint can’t easily match, like satin and color-shift
- Faster turnaround than a full repaint
Pick your finish
GLOSS
The paint look
Deep, wet shine that reads like fresh paint. Available in solids, metallics, and pearls.
SATIN
Smooth and modern
A soft sheen between gloss and matte that shows off body lines. The most requested finish in LA.
MATTE
Flat and aggressive
No reflection, soft look. A finish that would be expensive and hard to maintain as paint.
SPECIALTY
Stand out
Color-shift, chrome, brushed metal, and carbon fiber textures for builds that turn heads.
Coverage options
FULL WRAP
Total transformation
Every exterior painted panel in your new color, from bumper to bumper.
PARTIAL WRAP
Two-tone and accents
Roof, hood, mirrors, spoiler, or a two-tone split. A big visual change at a smaller price.
DOOR JAMBS
Finish the illusion
Optional add-on so the old color doesn’t show when doors are open. Quoted separately.
TRIM AND DETAILS
Complete the look
Chrome delete, emblems, badges, and interior trim to match your new color.
Vinyl wrap or color PPF?
Choose vinyl if the look is the priority. You get the widest range of colors and finishes at the lowest cost.
Choose color PPF if you want a new color plus serious protection. It’s thicker, self-healing, and far more resistant to rock chips, with fewer color options and a higher price. Learn about color PPF.
Quick comparison
- Vinyl: most colors and finishes
- Vinyl: lowest cost color change
- Color PPF: self-healing, real chip protection
- Color PPF: thicker, longer-lasting film
- Both: removable, protect the paint underneath

Wrap FAQs
How much does a color change wrap cost in Los Angeles?
Price depends on your vehicle’s size and shape, the finish you choose, full or partial coverage, and add-ons like door jambs. Specialty films like chrome and color-shift cost more than gloss or satin. See our typical price ranges, or request a quote and we’ll price your exact car.
How long does a vinyl wrap last?
Quality cast vinyl typically lasts 3 to 7 years depending on the finish, care, and sun exposure. Garage parking and regular hand washing help a wrap last longer in the LA sun.
Will a wrap damage my paint?
In most cases, on factory paint, a properly installed and removed wrap will not damage the paint, however, it can leave adhesive residue. Repainted or touched-up panels carry more risk, so let us know about any prior paintwork.
Are door jambs included?
Door jambs are an optional add-on and quoted separately. Without them, your original color will show when the doors are open. We’ll confirm exactly what’s covered before we start.
How long does a full wrap take?
Most full color change wraps take 5 to 10 days, depending on the vehicle, the film, and add-ons like door jambs.
Can I wrap a leased car?
Yes. Because a wrap is removable, it’s a popular way to customize a leased vehicle. Check your lease terms, and plan to have the wrap removed before turn-in.
How do I wash a wrapped car?
Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and avoid automatic brush car washes. Keep pressure washer nozzles away from edges and seams. Matte and satin finishes should not be waxed or polished.
Can I add ceramic coating or PPF over a wrap?
Yes. A wrap-safe ceramic coating makes cleaning easier and adds UV resistance. Clear PPF can also go over vinyl on high-impact areas like the front bumper.
